Carmelo Buffoli is a Swiss-Italian conceptual artist who is internationally known for his experimental and conceptual works. He has particularly made a name for himself in Canada, the USA, and Japan, notably through his projects "999 CUBES" and "THE DIARY OF THE JAPANESE HOUSE". His artworks often encompass installations, objects, and performances based on abstract concepts and ideas. Buffoli is known for using various media and materials to express his artistic visions.
‘At first glance, my work appears graphic and minimalist, but upon closer inspection, the object is separated from its surroundings and reduced to its essential and elemental form. "Feeling and spontaneity" are part of it, but I temper this in the later stages of the process. It's a complex journey, yet my approach remains simple: my entire body of work is a distilled version of the given.’
