A woven path through an illusory forest of threads.
Nine trees, first created in ink, now woven into fabric and carpets. A forest that exists only in textile form—its absence made present through material and sound. Visitors move through the installation, following a path that evokes both journey and insight. The trees are not real, yet their presence is undeniable. In contrast to this woven illusion, authentic forest sounds fill the space, grounding the experience in reality.
At the center, a single bench invites stillness. A place to sit, observe the textures, absorb the sounds, and reflect on the nature of perception. The juxtaposition of real sound and artificial representation creates a tension—a space for questioning what is seen, heard, and understood.
THREAD FOREST will be exhibited in Zurich from October 16 to 19, 2025.
Lines instead of leaves. A tree reduced to its essence—structure, form, presence. Silence lingers in the empty branches.
A tree, stripped of its foliage, remains only as form. Absence as presence. A skeleton of memory, waiting.
