THE JAPANESE HOUSE

By releasing a selection of his spatial concepts and designs, the Swiss-Italian artist Carmelo Buffoli has reached a new milestone in the conceptual art project titled ‘The Diary of the Japanese House’. Buffoli’s new book, published in March 2023 has been hailed by art galleries in Germany, Switzerland and Japan.

The conceptual artwork  consists of texts, sketches, drawings, images and photographs culminating in a house, the Japanese house. In this house, each city visited (imaginary) has a dedicated room, a space in which Carmelo Buffoli brings together the quintessence. The five elements play a role in each room and throughout the house, also in its architecture. The total, house and art, invites visitors to embark on their own imaginary journey.
